Mildred Moore "Pete" Lisenby, 85, of Ruby, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2005.

A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19 from Ruby Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Ruby Cemetery.

Born in Chesterfield County, Mrs. Lisenby was a daughter of the late Robert "Bob" Berry and Wincie Sellers Moore, and the widow of Rudolph Lisenby. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Lisenby was a member of Ruby Baptist Church where she had served as Secretary and Treasurer of the Eunice Hamilton Sunday School Class and as Church Hostess for many years.

Surviving are two sisters, Ruby Moore of Cheraw, and Jennie M. Hill of Chesterfield; a daughter-in-law, Jean T. Lisenby of Patrick; a number of nieces and nephews, including Robert D. (Ann) Moore, the Rev. Michael D. (Mary) Moore and Donna and Dennis Hill; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Dean Lisenby Sr.; a sister, Annette Abel; and four brothers, Billy Moore, Buster Moore, Shorty Moore and Harold Moore.

Arrangements were entrusted to Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
