Selling drugs has apparently become a family affair for several in Marlboro County.

Over the last few weeks, the Marlboro County Sheriff's Department has made several arrests involving family members working together to sell drugs.

On Feb. 11, two separate raids resulted in the arrest of a mother and daughter possessing marijuana they planned to sell and a father and son possessing marijuana and cocaine they planned to sell. Another bust last Friday netted a husband and wife growing marijuana in their home.

The first bust on Feb. 11 occurred around midnight when authorities raided a home at 2098 Brickyard Road near Wallace. Deputies found four individually wrapped bags of marijuana in the mother's bedroom and six individually wrapped bags of marijuana in the daughter's purse.

The mother was identified as 46-year-old Patricia McGriff. Her daughter is 22-year-old Arlillian McGriff. Both were charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Deputies seized all the narcotics in the house, along with nearly $300.

About an hour after the raid of the McGriff home, authorities looking for drugs burst into a home on McRae Street in Bennettsville.

Michael Charles Prince Sr., 43, and Michael Charles Prince Jr., 19, were arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute powder cocaine and possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Seven grams of cocaine was located in a light fixture in a hallway of the house, and 4.45 ounces of marijuana was found in a container in the back bedroom. Authorities also found a .32 caliber pistol under Prince Jr.'s bed.

Rodericka Keyana Jenkins, 19, who was in the McRae Street home at the time of the bust, was also charged with possession with intent to distribute powder cocaine and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Last Friday, Marlboro authorities executed a search warrant on Hickory Grove Road in Bennettsville and arrested 50-year-old William Bill Bristow and his 51-year-old wife,Vickie Arlane Bristow.

Eighty-nine marijuana plants were found growing in the Bristow's home and half a pound of marijuana was found in a Ziplock bag in the kitchen. A .22 caliber Winchester rifle with no serial number was also discovered inside the home.

Both husband and wife were charged with manufacturing marijuana and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
