CHERAW - Betty Sue Short Wilson, 57, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005.

A funeral service was held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 10 from St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Born in Chesterfield County, Mrs. Wilson was a daughter of Nathaniel Short and the late Arie Ratliff Short. She was educated in the Chesterfield County school system and was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Rufus Wilson of the home; three sons, Rufus E. Wilson Jr., and Franklin (Chastity) Wilson of the home, and Robert E. (Nishicka) Wilson of Atlanta, Ga.; four brothers, the Rev. Carl A. (Ray Ann) Short and Ross (Stacey) Short of Chesterfield, Nathaniel (Rosa) Short of Washington, D.C., and Richard Short of Marietta, Ga.; three sisters, Roberta Bloomfield of Marietta, Ga., Nezzie Short of Cheraw, and Evelyn D. (Joseph) Short of Chesterfield; four brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; six grandchildren, ; and a number of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger Short and Eugene Short.

Arrangements were entrusted to Reid Funeral Home.
