A graveside funeral service was held at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005 in New Market United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Mitch Ingram officiating.

Born in Chesterfield County, Mrs. Wallace was a daughter of the late John and Lilly Smothers Berry, and was the widow of Henry Joseph Wallace. She was a member of New Market United Methodist Church. Mrs. Wallace retired from Nytronics.
Surviving are three daughters, Jo Ann Winburn, Mary (Paul) Holloman and Janie (Jerry) O'Neal all of Hartsville; a brother, George Berry of Weirsdale, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson, Charles Avery McBerayer.
She was preceded in death by a son Edward Wallace, two daughters Mildred Parnell and Vivian Wallace, and a son-in-law Raeford Winburn.
Arrangements were entrusted to Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home.
