CHESTERFIELD - Frank Ellison White, 75, died Friday, Oct. 28, 2005.

A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30 from Chesterfield Baptist Church. Burial followed in Chesterfield Cemetery.

Born in Chesterfield, Mr. White was a son of the late John Broadus and Minnie Skipper White. He was a retired employee of Western Auto and was associated with Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home for many years. Mr. White was a faithful member of Chesterfield Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, choir member and secretary of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. He was a member of the Chesterfield Fire Department for 55 years and served as fire chief for 33 years. The Chesterfield Firehouse was named in his honor. Mr. White was a charter member of the Chesterfield County Rescue Squad. He was also a member of Chesterfield Masonic Lodge 220 where he served as secretary for many years. In 1998 the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce presented Mr. White with its highest honor, the W. D. Craig Lifetime Service Award in recognition of his years of service to the community.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Margaret Oliver White of the home; two sons, Frank (Susan) White Jr. of Columbia, and Michael (Suzanne) White of Chesterfield; a daughter, Susan W. (Billy) Cassidy of Chesterfield; six grandchildren, Elizabeth W. Bennett, Rebecca W. Prevatte, Sarah Cassidy, Molly Cassidy, Ellison White and Randall White; two step-grandsons, Adam Gregory and Mark Gregory; five great-grandchildren, Garrett White, Greer Bennett, Jillian Bennett, Sophia Prevatte and Ella Prevatte; and a sister, Juanita W. (Arnold) Mielke of Lancaster.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Orrin G. White and John B. White Jr.

Arrangements were entrusted to Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
