A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26 from Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in the Chesterfield Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Home Foundation, 213 Laurens St., Aiken, S.C. 29801; or to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 305 W. Main St., Chesterfield, S.C. 29709.
Born in Marion, Mr. Watson was a son of the late Benjamin Samuel and Celia Vindal Watson. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, a Mason for 55 years and a retired manager of Belk department stores. In recent years he was a resident of Trinity Lutheran Home of Aiken.
Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Mary Adden “Gussie” Watson; two sons, Howell Nathaniel “Nat” (Mary Hurst) Watson Jr., and William A. “Tony” (Mary Lake) Watson of Edgefield; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by eight brothers, Bennie Watson, Clarence Watson, Luther Watson, Clyde Watson, David Watson, Marvin Watson, Sam Watson and Joe Watson; and three sisters, Sally Whaley, Bertha Tyner and Priscilla Hutchenson.
Arrangements were entrusted to Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
