A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 30 from Mahaffey Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Randall White. Burial followed in Lancaster Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Born in Cheraw, Mr. Jenkins was a son of the late James Reece and Dessie Knight Jenkins. He worked for Johnson Controls, was a retired United States Navy Vietnam veteran and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife, Josephine Sinclair Jenkins; two sons, James Thomas “Bo” Jenkins Jr. and Richard B. (Valerie) Jenkins of Lancaster; two daughters, Teresa (Tim) Clemmer of Lancaster, and Cathy D. Jenkins of Chester; three grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.
Arrangements were entrusted to Mahaffey Funeral Home.
