Nineteen contestants participated with eight age bracket winners. Contestants were boys and girls ages 10-14. Brackets were determined by age and gender. Each contestant was given 15 shots and each bracket winner was determined by the number of baskets made.
Winners were given a Championship Certificate and plaque and will advance to the District Championship at the Cheraw Community Center Saturday, Feb. 18. Winners of the District Championship will advance to the State Championship March 18 in Columbia.
Winners in the boys category of the Free Throw Championship were: 10 years, Clayton Bridges; 11 years, Brett Burnett; 12 years, LaJonny Harris; 13 years, Garrick Walters; and 4 years, Antonio Locke. Winners in the girls category of Free Throw Championship were: 11 years, Jillian Bennet; 12 years, Jessica Rivers; and 14 years, Krystel Tracy.
