A funeral service was held Saturday, July 22 from Hornsboro Baptist Church. Burial followed in Green-lawn Memorial Park.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Hargett Richardson of Pageland; two sons, Doug (Rose) Richardson of Greenwood, Ind., and Robert (Gail) Richardson of Concord, N.C.; two daughters, Margaret (Ron) Joynes of Pageland, Yvonne (Donnie) Laney of Albemarle, N.C.; sisters, Francis Rushing and Jean Hasty of Indian Trail, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were entrusted to Sutton Funeral Home.
