A funeral service was held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 26 from Wesley United Methodist Church with the Revs. Earnest Reese, Howard Rogers, Jerry Corbett and John C. Pearson officiating. Burial followed in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.
Born in Cheraw, Mrs. Johnson was a daughter of the late Pierce Herbert and Hattie Louise Rogers Robinson, and was the widow of Johnnie James Johnson. She attended Robert Small School. At an early age Mrs. Johnson joined Wesley United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Ruth Johnson-Spencer of the home; a sister, Bernice (Millard) Jones of Raleigh, N.C.; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Arrangements were entrusted to Reid's Funeral Home.
