The Rams won the toss and chose to receive the opening kickoff. After Nick Dixon and the Rams moved the ball up to the Rams 34, a flag on the next play (the first of many) signaled a holding penalty against the Rams.
Following incompletions and fumbles, the guys from Turbeville attempted to punt the ball. It sailed over the punter's head, and the Rams recovered it at the East Clarendon 5-yard line.
Kendall Walters made it look easy as he faked in one direction and ran the other, taking the ball in for a touchdown. At 7:59 of the first quarter, it was Rams 6, Wolverines 0, with a wide PAT attempt.
After several plays, the Wolverines moved the ball down to the Rams' 15 before turning it over on downs. Unable to move and backed up by a penalty, the Rams quick-kicked the ball, and the Wolverines were at the Rams' 2-yard line when the quarter ended.
In the second quarter, the Rams played a very stingy defense and took the ball. They were 4th and 1 at the 30-yard line.
The Rams went for it. Kendell Walters made the first down and the Rams started a drive down the field. With 31 seconds on the clock, the Rams had the ball 1st and goal at the East Clarendon one-yard line. Nick Dixon scored with six seconds left on the clock to make it 12-0 Rams. A 2-point PAT pass to Robert Sowell made the score 14-0.
