The results are in, and Lynches River Electric Cooperative has scored big in the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), the most recognized consumer satisfaction index in the United States.
This summer, Lynches River Electric Cooperative participated in a survey to understand the relationships cooperatives build with their members. As part of that survey, the ACSI asked questions to develop a score that is used to compare Lynches River Electric Cooperative with other Touchstone Energy Cooperatives and investor-owned utilities.
This year's ACSI score for Lynches River Electric Cooperative is 87, which is higher than the national average for all 632 Touchstone Energy Cooperatives combined (81).
Lynches River's 87 score is also higher than the top investor-owned utility, which scored an 80. And Lynches River Electric Cooperative scored above the national average for the entire utility industry, which had an ACSI score of 72.
“They are willing to do anything to keep the people happy,” said one S.C. electric cooperative member who answered this summer's survey. Another member said, “They are prompt. If something goes bad, they are right there. I can call 24 hours a day, and someone is there.”
“It doesn't surprise me the cooperative scored high on customer satisfaction,” says Eric Horton, who has served in the District 1 seat on the Lynches River Board of Trustees for 18 years. “We are fortunate to have such a highly skilled and dedicated group of employees who look after our members as if they are family.”
Cecil McLain, a 21-year veteran of the Board of Trustee for District 7, agrees, “The results of the ACSI survey reinforces what we've known all along, Lynches River Electric Cooperative provides outstanding customer service. When members need assistance, employees are there to take care of them, day or night.”
