A funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4 from Grooms Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Robert Ecford officiating. Burial followed in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.
Born in Cheraw, Ms. Ghent was a daughter of Albert and Ernestine Grubb. She was educated in Chesterfield County public schools. Ms. Ghent was a member of Temple of Deliverance.
Surviving are two brothers, Ellis (Crystal) Grubb and Erik (Brenda) Grubb of Cheraw; two sisters, Beverly Jefferson and Linda Hartzell of Cheraw; two uncles, the Rev. Leroy (Rosa Mae) Waddell of Cheraw, and Willie (Joyce) Waddell of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two aunts, Lena Mae (Percy) Spellman of Brooklyn, and Barbara Rock of Raleigh, N.C.; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Arrangements were entrusted to Grooms Funeral Home.
