Fireworks will light up the sky this week as towns around the county celebrate Independence Day.
Cheraw will hold its Fourth of July festivities on July 3. A "Tiny Tykes and Bikes " parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. At 5:30 p.m. the Colgate Country Showdown Talent Show will take place on Second Street. A family celebration and fireworks display is scheduled to take place from 7-11 p.m.
In Ruby, a cruise in will be held downtown from 6 to 9 p.m A fireworks display will follow. All of the events are free to the public.
