Morrell is the son of Kyle and Laurie Morrell, brother of Jacob Morrell. His grandparents are Beverly T. Suhy of Cheraw and the late Bob Suhy, Beth T. Morrell of Hartsville and the ate Buddy Morrell.
He has been active in scouting since he was six years old.
