Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Dec. 4, at Forest Pine Free Will Baptist Church. Burial was held in the church cemetery.
Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Dec. 3, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sims was born Nov. 5, 1955, a daughter of the late Rosia Nevel Linton and Margaret Aycock Linton Davis. She attended Chesterfield-Marlboro Technical College and was a retired nursing assistant. Brenda was a charter member of Forest Pine Free Will Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a brother Ricky Linton.
Surviving is her husband, Bud Sims of the home; a brother, Andy (Jeanette) Linton of Cheraw; four sisters, Sue (Pete) Hall of Lancaster, Gale (Richard) Furr, Cindy (Joe) Stafford and Diane (Buddy) Burr all of Cheraw; and other relatives and friends.
Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
