CHESTERFIELD--ALCO will open the doors to a new location in Chesterfield on May 14. The store will be located directly beside Dollar General on Hwy. 9.

Diane Elders will be the store manager of the new store and Vicki Fenner will serve as the assistant manager.

Elders says that she is excited about the store opening in the Chesterfield community.

"I live here in Chesterfield and the people here are fantastic," Elders said. "Being able to serve the people in Chesterfield will be great. I'm pretty sure that everyone is excited about ALCO coming to Chesterfield."

Items on the ALCO food menu will include pizza, pizza sticks, biscuits and other hot foods. Free coffee will also be given to police officers and members of the fire department.

Good customer service is one of the things Elders says the store will offer to each customer that walks through the doors.

"We're going to offer lower gas prices and friendly faces," Elders says. "A lot of the people that will be working in the store will be people from right here in Chesterfield. Customers will see familiar faces. This store will offer a few more jobs in Chesterfield as well."

Currently, applications are being accepted for cashier positions on all shifts. People interested in applying can go to the construction site and go to the trailer behind the building to pick up an application. Initially, the store will not be opened 24 hours a day.
