Burr named elections director

CHESTERFIELD–––Chesterfield County named a new voter registration and elections director on Oct. 17. Cheraw native Lois M. Burr has been named to the director position after a search was performed to find a qualified candidate.
“I was excited when I learned that I had been selected,” said Burr.
Burr served on the on the county’s election commission for two years prior to being named director. Burr replaces Tommy Ballard who left the position to become Chesterfield County’s Assessor.
Burr says that Ballard will help through the upcoming elections and assist her in becoming familiar with the daily duties of the position.
