Narcie Jeter will present “Journey to Hope” as the guest speaker at the quarterly meeting of the First United Methodist Church Women’s meeting March 6 beginning 6:30 p.m.
Jeter is the daughter of Reverend Dr. Tim and Cindy McClendon, former pastor of Mt. Olivet and Pleasant Grove Church and also First United Methodist.
Narcie McClendon Jeter is the United Methodist Campus Minister at the Winthrop University Wesley Foundation. Narcie is also an alumnae of Winthrop graduating in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and minors in Education and Social Sciences. She continued her studies at Candler School of Theology in Atlanta, where she graduated with a Master of Divinity in 2005. She was commissioned as a probationary member of the South Carolina Annual Conference in June of 2005 and served as the United Methodist Campus Minister at Emory University and as the Director of Clairmont Religious Life, an inter-religious ministry of hospitality and presence before returning to Winthrop Wesley.
Narcie has served as the chairperson of the campus ministry association at Winthrop (WCCM) for the past four years and is now serving as the co-chairperson of the for the national United Methodist Campus Ministry Association. She also serves on her District Committee on Ministry and as the vice chairperson of Conference Connectional Ministries.
Narcie is married to Mike and they have two children, Enoch, 4, and Evy, 3.
