It’s that basketball time of year again, and the Cheraw Chronicle has launched its Fan Fever Basketball Bracket contest online at thecherawchronicle.com. Enter the contest to choose the teams you think will rise to the occasion this year in the NCAA Basketball Tournament. It’s easy and fun!
Just go to thecherawchronicle.com and look for the “button” link to the contest page on the top right side of our website. Once you see the button, just click on it and it will take you to the contest page, where you need only follow the directions to register and fill out your brackets.
The Chronicle’s contest is sponsored by Badcock Home Furniture, 940 Chesterfield Hwy, Cheraw.
This year, there are two ways to play. You can pick a winner in all the brackets before the tournament begins, and then just sit back to see how your teams do as the tournament progresses. Or, you can visit the contest site before each game and pick who you think is going to win each upcoming game, once both teams for a game are known. If you pick teams as the tournament progresses, you can pick the winner until 20 minutes before the game is scheduled to start. You can sign up to play at any point in the tournament.
You could win $1,000,000 if you pick all of the games correctly. You could win $10,000 if you only miss one or two games. And, you could win $1,000 if you only miss three games.

The local winner with the most points will win $25 (in case of a tie, we’ll pull one name out of the hat). Additionally, the national grand prize for the player with the highest score is a 32GB iPod Touch sponsored by Upickem and a NCAA Fathead sponsored by Fathead.com.
