John Frank Clark died at home on June 5, 2012.

A private out-of-town graveside ceremony will be held at a later date.

The son of the late Frank and Cora Holder Clark, he was born in Moultrie, Ga., in 1934. A graduate of Moultrie High School, he joined the US Army and served from 1952-1955 in the Army Security Agency. While living in Cheraw, he was employed by Stanley Tools and INA Bearing.

Mr. Clark was an avid reader, master woodworker and furniture builder and refinisher, auto mechanic and cook. He was a member of St. David’s Episcopal Church.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Dunn Clark of the home; and sons, Bruce Kevin (Carol) Clark of Lexington, Frederick Lee Clark of Asheville, N.C., and Richard Scott (Crystal) Clark of Bennettsville; a brother-in-law, Lee A. Dunn of New Bern, N.C.; cousins and other relatives.

The family would like to thank Dr. Biester and the staff of Cheraw Convalescent Center in Cheraw, and the staff of Hospice of Chesterfield County, for their love and concern for the family
