Bobby Butler of Pageland passed away June 14, 2012.
A funeral service was held Sunday, June 17, at 3 p.m. at the Flemming Funeral Chapel in Pageland,. Committal and interment was held at the Butler Family Cemetery in Pageland.
Mr. Butler was the son of the late George and Margaret Butler. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carolyn Durant; and son, Kenyatta Makeba Butler.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Butler of the home; six sons, John (Deborah) Glivens of Carteret, N.J., Robert Butler of Virginia Beach, Va., Alexander Butler of Stroudsburg, Pa., Malcolm Little Butler of Brooklyn, N.Y., Khalfani Butler of Lancaster, Akarri Latfani Butler and Masud Ahmed Butler of Charlotte, N.C.; three daughters, Ivy Jean Butler of Brooklyn, N.Y., Tawanna (Johnny) Hardin of Nashville, Tenn., and Takiyah Butler of Lancaster; a sister, Georgia Scott of Columbia; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and close friends, R.J. Knotts, Hover Myers and June Johnson.
