Lorenze Buie Dove, 83, died Saturday, July 14, 2012.

The family will receive friends at 3 p.m. Monday, July 16, at Kiser Funeral Home in Cheraw. A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. at Kiser Funeral Home, following the visitation.

Born in Raeford, N.C., Mr. Dove was the son of the late Chamers Hugh and Cyrenia Ethel Dove Dove. He was a member of Rock Fish Baptist Church in Raeford. He was a US Army Veteran. He enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid Tony Stewart fan. Mr. Dove was retired from Burlington Industries with 47 years of service as a Textile Technician. He was very thankful and loved his caregivers at Cheraw Healthcare. Mr. Dove loved his family and friends greatly and enjoyed spending time with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above and sisters, Ethlyn Barnard and Polly Barnard.

Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Ruth Ragan Dove of Cheraw; son, Paul (Gail) Dove of Lilesville, N.C.; daughters, Lisa (Tim) Adair of Cheraw and Phyllis (Bain) Cameron of South Hill, Va.; grandchildren, Ragan, Timothy, Elizabeth, Matthew, Austin and a great grandchild on the way.
