Businesses within the Cheraw town limits looking to enhance their building’s exterior may qualify for a matching grant to assist with improvements.
Offered by the Town of Cheraw, grant funds from the Facade Grant Program may be used for exterior signage, awnings, painting, and doors. Interior and roof work will not be allowed under this program. Grant awards must be matched dollar for dollar by the eligible business/property owner, and the maximum grant from the town for any one project will not exceed $1,000.
Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis and are available at the Cheraw Town Hall, 200 Market St. Completed applications will be submitted to the Cheraw Appearance Commission for review and recommendation. Work initiated before the Appearance Commission’s approval will not be eligible for the facade grant.
