CHESTERFIELD — Mr. Fred Robert Raffaldt, age 66, died Saturday, February 07, 2009.

Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 9, 2009 at Thompson Creek Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery

Visitation was held 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

Mr. Raffaldt was born July 8, 1942 in Rockingham, N.C., a son of Ruby Elizabeth Paul Raffaldt and the late C. B. Raffaldt. He was a retired mechanic with Delta Woodside with 45 years of service. He was a member of Freedom Tabernacle Baptist Church in Norwood, N.C.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Huen.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Frances Purvis Raffaldt of the home; Two sons, Robert M. Raffaldt of Norwood, N.C., and Frederick Raffaldt of Cheraw; Four daughters, Mary Smith of Albemarle, N.C., Cynthia Holden of Chesterfield, Robin Scott of Albemarle, N.C., and Susan Conklin of Ruby; his mother, Ruby Paul Raffaldt of Cheraw; a brother, Carroll Raffaldt of Ruby; three sisters, Betty Faye Rivers of Bel Air, Md., Shirley Dockray and Janice Raffaldt, both of Cheraw; 17 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren
