Chesterfield County Clemson Extension Service recently announced Heather Rivers as its new Program Assistant.
As Program Assistant, Rivers will assist the public with the utilization of the services offered by the Clemson Extension. Other duties will include helping with the 4-H youth development programs offered by Clemson Extension.
Rivers is a native of Chesterfield County having graduated from Chesterfield High School and is currently working towards an Associate Degree in Computer Technology at Northeastern Technical College. She and husband William have one son, Liam Rivers.
Clemson Extension said it selected Rivers for this position because of her positive attitude and willingness to help the citizens of the Chesterfield and the farming community.
Rivers will be working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 1 to 5 p.m. The Extension Office said will help in providing better service to the citizens of Chesterfield County.
