Cynthia Bennett Freeman, 71, died Monday, July 23, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m Thursday, July 26, at Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Ed Griggs will officiate with burial in the Welsh Neck Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Born in Scotland County, N.C., Ms. Freeman was a daughter of the late Henry and Mary Hicks Bennett. She was a member of the Society Hill Church of God.
Surviving are her son, Jonathan Odell of Cheraw; daughters, Jeanette (David) Torrence of Hartsville, Patricia Ann (Charles) Freeman of Cheraw; grandchildren, Alan (Heather) Freeman, Nichole Freeman, J.W. Odell, Jesse Torrence, Dakota Torrence; great grandson, Tyson Freeman; sisters, Ruby Hatcher, Rachel Smith and Gertrude Tribitte and lifetime friend Billy Bryant of Cheraw.
