With school starting in less than three weeks, the Cheraw Recreation and Leisure Services Department is offering a Back to School Kids Blast Thursday, Aug. 9, at the Cheraw Community Center from 6 to 8 p.m. The public is invited for a free evening of both indoor and outdoor fun.
Free games, music and more is planned as this last event of the Cheraw Alive Series this summer. Games through TC’s Amusements will be there and DJ K Smooth will be rocking the house.
Performances, by Kelley Fine Arts dance teams, will offer the community an opportunity to see the young talent that is being fostered through classes as the recreation department. Registration for upcoming fall dance classes will be offered as well.
The Greater Cheraw Merchants Association will be selling refreshments during the event. For more information contact the recreation office at 537-8420.
