Jeffery Doyle Allen, 48, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at First United Methodist Church in Cheraw. A memorial service will be held at 4p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at First United Methodist Church in Cheraw.

Born in Portsmouth, N.H., Mr. Allen was the son Larry Alexander and Fay Elizabeth Flanner Allen of Mt. Pleasant. He was a member of First Methodist Church in Cheraw and a US Army veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Kristina Allen; and daughter, Sarah Elysse Allen, both of Cheraw; sons, Jeffery Doyle Allen Jr. and Larry Alexander Allen II, both of Mt. Pleasant; his parents listed above; sisters, Reyne Getsinger of James Island and Robin Mullin of Mt. Pleasant.

Memorials may be sent to Men’s Bible Class of First United Methodist Church, 117 Third St,, Cheraw, SC 29520.
