Mary Teal Baker, 88, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at Cheraw Healthcare Inc. in Cheraw.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Chesterfield Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Coyle officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park, Wadesboro, N.C. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro, N.C.
Mary was born in High Point, N.C., on Jan. 4, 1924, a daughter of the late Stephen Wilson and Cornelia Adams Teal. She graduated from Chesterfield High School. She was retired from the Duff-Norton Co. and also was a retired hairdresser.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Baker; her son, Charles Henry Baker; and her sister, Ruth Teal Threatt.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews.
