Gov. Jim Hodges reviews Chelsea Maier's reading list which earned her an honor roll certificate from the governor. Chelsea read 20 books to make the honor roll and presented her list to Hodges when she and her classmates - the Cheraw Primary School students of Pam Moore - visited the governor on Feb. 8. Hodges reads to a class of primary school students each week during the legislative session to stress the importance his administration places on reading and education. He read "The Giving Tree" to Moore's kindergarteners. Chelsea is the daughter of Bill and Beth Maier.
