THE FOUNTAIN at Corner Soda and Sundry is now located on one side of the store, although when Jack Poston opened in 1941, it was in the center of the building. The sign in the background still announces the "whiz" for sale, a treat that was an invention of Poston's and which has been a part of the store almost from its beginning. Mrs. Ola Polson, above, also helps in the store. This photograph was published Aug. 13, 1981, in the Cheraw Chronicle.
