Mildred Heape Noblett, 85, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2012.
Memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, at Friendship United Methodist Church.
Visitation followed the service immediately in the Church Fellowship Hall.
Noblett was born May 28, 1927, in Lone Star, a daughter of the late William Buyck Heape and Jenny Lynd Shirer Heape. She was a retired secretary. Ms. Noblett was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church and attended Friendship United Methodist Church. Mildred enjoyed fishing, cross word puzzles, reading, playing cards, and growing pretty flowers. In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by a sister Esther H. Thompson.
She is survived by a daughter, Marsha (Jerry) Sands of Chesterfield, three grandchildren, Laura Horne of Southport, N.C., Joshua Sands of Blacksburg, Va., and Stefanie (Andy) Farmer of Charlotte, N.C., three brothers, James W. Heape of Cameron, Frank (Joan) Heape of West Columbia, and Thomas (Patricia) Heape of Elloree, two sisters, Betty H. Jones of Orangeburg, and Emily Anne Heape of Orangeburg, also nieces and nephews.
