Home Sweet Home was not so sweet for the Golden Rams Football team this past Friday night against the Anson County Bearcats. The Rams fell short by a score of 34 to 27.

To the delight of the home fans, the Rams jumped out to an early 7-0 lead. However, by the end of the first quarter, the Bearcats had clawed their way back into the game to draw even with the Rams. From that point on, it was a back and forth battle between the hooves of the Rams and the claws of the Bearcats.

In previous meetings with other local teams, the Bearcats had not faired well, losing to Marlboro County and the Cheraw Braves. However, the Bearcats were not to be denied on Friday night and continued to find ways to stay close with the Rams.

Due to the self-destruction of the Rams in the closing minutes of the game, the Bearcats escaped with the 34 to 27 victory. The Rams are on the road this Friday against the Silver Foxes of Lamar. The game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
