Numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected today. A few storms may produce strong winds. Also, some heavy rainfall may lead to localized flooding.
The forecast for Cheraw for this afternoon is for scattered showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 4 p.m. High near 81. Southwest wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Tonight showers and thunderstorms before 1 a.m., then scattered showers. Low around 64. South wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
