James William “Pee Wee” McIntyre, 60, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at Hospice of Union County.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel, Chesterfield.

Interment will follow in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery, Marshville, N.C.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, at the funeral home.

McIntyre was born Sept. 13, 1952, in Chesterfield, a son of the late James Bobby “J. B.” and Frances Lorraine Haney McIntyre. He was a card room supervisor with Chesterfield Yarn Mill in Pageland, for the past 29 years. Pee Wee was an avid outdoors-man, and loved fishing. In addition to his parents, Pee Wee was also preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Lynn McIntyre and by a brother, Edward “Bug” McIntyre.

Survivors include a wife of 22 years, Judith Dennis Leigh McIntyre of the home, two sons, Daniel (Crystal) McIntyre of Ruby, and James (Billie) McIntyre of Lancaster, one daughter, Hope M. (Mark) Shuler of Cleveland, Tenn., also five grandchildren, two brothers, Buddy McIntyre and Joe McIntyre of Cheraw, five sisters, Helen (Buddy) Tucker of Lancaster, Kitty Wallace of Patrick, Elizabeth (Charlie) Quick of Cheraw, Virginia “Cat” McIntyre of Lamar, and Tereasa McIntyre of Chesterfield, adopted family, Steve, Anne, Thomas, Cody, and Heaven Leigh Simpson.

Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home of Chesterfield, is serving the family.
