Maggie C. Quick, 80, died on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Chesterfield General Hospital in Cheraw.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11, at Burroughs-Cooper-Kiser Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Quick Family Cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at the funeral home, and at other times at the home of Janelle Sauls, 5045 Hatcher Hill Road, Wallace, SC 29596.

Born March 27, 1932, in Marlboro County, she was the daughter of the late Elmore and Shellie Steen Quick. Quick was the Owner and Operator of a convenience store for many years. She also worked at Oak River Mills for thirteen years.

Along with her parents, Quick was preceded in death by her husband, George Quick, three brothers, and two sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Rivers (Eddie) of Bennettsville, and Janelle Sauls (David) of Wallace; brother, Roy Quick (Faye) of Wallace; sisters, Bertha Bosher of Aberdeen, N.C., and Bessie Pruitt of Hoffman, N.C.; five grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; two adopted sons, Johnny Quick, and Marion Bowen; and several special nieces and nephews.
