Maryellen Johns Jacques, 50, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2012.

A memorial service was held Friday Oct. 12, at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Cheraw.

The family received friends Thursday, Oct. 11, at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw.

Interment will be at a later date in the Mount Vision Cemetery, Mount Vision, N. Y.

Born in Oneonta, N.Y., she was a daughter of Morris Raymond and Marjorie Ann Robinson Johns of Cheraw.

Jacques was a 4-H Club member and leader and served with the Wellsbridge Fire Department . She was an EMT with the Otego Emergency Squad. Jaques was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.

Survivors are parents listed above, sons, Jason (Cindy) Jacques of Greene, N.Y., Jared (Trish) of Cheraw, a sister, Marcia (James J.) Johns Bullis of Chesterfield, and two grandchildren. She is also survived by her fiancé, Kevin Eberling and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
