Karlo Livingston Baker, 85, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012.
Born in Mt. Croghan, he was the son of the late Wilson Joyce and Ethel Atkinson Baker. He was a World War II Navy veteran. Baker was the founder of Cheraw Dying and Finishing, a member of First United Methodist Church, President of the Matheson Memorial Library Association. He was preceded in death by his parents listed above and his brothers, Donald Baker and Glynn Baker.
He is survived by his wife, Lois McBride Baker of Cheraw, a son, Stephen (Wanda) Wilson Baker of Rio Grande, Minn., daughters, Beth (Matt) B. May of Jackson, Tenn., Lisa (Robbie) B. Douglas of Columbia, Eleanor Lois Baker of Pinehurst, N.C., a sister, Nina (Pepper) Martin of Greenville, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
