Onie Mae Jordan Jenkins, 75, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012.
A funernal service was held on Thursday, Dec. 13, at First Freewill Baptist Church. Interment followed in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation was Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
Jenkins was born April 7, 1937, in Chesterfield County, a daughter of the late Clarence and Mamie Jordan Jordan. She was a retired employee of Chesterfield Yarn Mill. Jenkins was a member of Providence Baptist Church and attended Rose Memorial Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lucas Jenkins; three brothers, Burtis, Perry, and Beecher Jordan; and one sister, Gertrude Plyler.
Jenkins was survived by one daughter, Amy (Jorge) Ramos of Monroe, N.C.; one grandson; three sisters, Katie Atkinson of Rockingham, N.C., Bonnie (Johnny) Lindsey of Mt. Croghan, and Jean (Charles) Melton of Pageland; one brother, Gurney (Betty) Jordan of Wallace.
Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Inc. of Chesterfield, is serving the family.
