A sold out crowd anxiously awaited the opening of Rhoda Ellison's play "Tainted Vows" at the Theatre on the Green last Saturday evening.

Rhoda Ellison’s play, “Tainted Vows,” opened before a sold out audience last Saturday evening at the Theatre on the Green.
Ellison said she was “very pleased with the turn out and is grateful for the support of the community.”
Ellison, a Cheraw native and graduate of Francis Marion University and Kings College, wrote, directed and acted in the production of the play that centers around the trials and tribulations of newlyweds and their in-laws.
The cast of the production included Regina Brown, Cynthia Moore, Sjuan’tu Jackson, Tina Rivers and George Boykin.
Amy Brown, a member of Chesterfield’s town council, introduced Ellison’s play and each of the acts. “We are fortunate to bring such talent to the stage,” said Brown.
