Jerry R. Wilkerson, 68, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012.
A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Wilkerson was born April 10, 1944 in Ruby, a son of the late James Thornel and Leila Mae Oliver Wilkerson Oliver. He was a retired supervisor with Crown Cork & Seal Co. with 33 years of service. In addition to his parents, Jerry was also preceded in death by his step-son, Michael Huckabee.
Survivors include a wife, Deborah “Debbie” Smith Wilkerson of the home, two sons, Lee (Gina) Wilkerson of Cheraw, and Brent (Karen) Wilkerson of Hartsville, daughter, Michelle (Weldon) Gainey of Rub, 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren, one brother, Ronnie (Nell) Wilkerson of Ruby, four sisters, Bonnie (Jimmy) McCormick of Lilesville, N.C., Cathy (Bucky) Parker and Deborah W. Smith both of Cheraw, and Sherry W. Bruner of Chesterfield.
