The following arrests were recently made by the Cheraw Police Department:

• Barry W. Davis, 34, of 1441 Macedonia Church Road, Cheraw, was arrested for simple possession of marijuana.

• Rayshawn James Smith, 18, of 8681 Andrew Jackson Hwy., Lauren Hill, S.C., was arrested for not having a South Carolina driver’s license.

• Rodney Jean Edgeston, 23, of 331 High St., Cheraw, was arrested for assault and battery.

• Thomas Lee Burr, 58, of 50 Janice Circle, Cheraw, was arrested for driving under the influence.

• Courtney Zania Zimmerman, 23, of 9555 20th Bay St., Norforlk, Va., was arrested for disorderly conduct.

• Terry Christopher, 35, of 108 Agerton St., Cheraw, was arrested for malicious injury to personal property.

• Marcell J. Cassidy, 20, of 2417 Community Road, Bennettsville, was arrested for petit larceny and vandalism of property.

• Angela David, 48, of 526 Graves Lane, Bennettsville, was arrested for shoplifting.

Arrest reports published in the Cheraw Chronicle are copied from local law enforcement records. Reports include both arrest and criminal summons such as citations. The Chronicle lists them all as arrests. People charged are presumed innocent until determined to be guilty by a court of law.
