The Cheraw Chronicle and Chesterfield Advertiser is your community newspaper. One of the ways we involve ourselves is by running the events and happenings of the community in our weekly calendar. WHAT: Chesterfield County Pastors United wants to invite all Christians to join them for another prayer gathering, to pray for the protection of all the students, teachers and administration of our county. It is important for all county pastors to join the cause and pray for the Lord to protect all the children.

WHAT: A soup and sand which meal will begin at noon & conclude with a devotional provided by an area pastor. The Lenten series will be concluded with a March 24 Community Palm Sunday Service at 6 p.m. at Fisher Hill Baptist Church. Elder from G.W. Long Presbyterian Church will be the guest pastor for this luncheon.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

WHEN: Saturday, February 23 at 6 p.m.

WHERE: Gospel Tabernacle Church, 549 Deaton Street, Ruby

WHAT: You are invited to a special birthday celebration for Mother Bertha Burroughs. A donation of $10 at the door will be accepted. Also their will be a buffet style meal and gospel singing. All gifts are welcome.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH PROGRAM

WHEN: February 25 at 3 p.m.

WHERE: Wallace Family Life Center, 574 Old Wire Road, Bennettsville

WHAT: A celebration of black history month. There will be many guest speakers along with a skit preformed by the children enrolled in the Wallace Family Life Center’s after school program. Also, the youth of Fisher Hill Community Baptist will perform a dance routine. The program is open to the public.
