Annual golf tourney set for May 6

CHERAW --- The Cheraw Recreation and Leisure Services Department is having their 17th Annual Arrowhead Park Golf Tournament on Wednesday, May 6th, with all of the proceeds going to assist with the Town’s Arrowhead Park complex.

The tournament will have a 10:00 a.m. shotgun start and it will be held on the challenging Cheraw State Park Golf Course. The event will be a three-person captain’s choice format, with each team having a minimum handicap of 30. The maximum handicap any player can claim is 18.

Entry fee will be $135.00 and that includes green and cart fees, refreshments, lunch, and various other prizes. Awards will be handed out to the first, second, and third place teams in two flights, along with special prizes for long drives and closest to the pins.

Businesses also have the opportunity to sponsor holes, long drive and closest to the pin competitions for $150.

The sponsors will receive a sign on the tee and special recognition at the awards ceremony.
