CHERAW — Cheraw High School held its ProM Promise program on Friday in front of the high school. A mock wreck involving a drunk driver was held in front of the high school with students playing the roles of drivers and passengers. The purpose of the program was to help students understand the dangers of drunk driving. The high school held its prom on Friday night.

Organizers of Prom Promise wish to thank the following individuals and organizations for assisting in the program: the Cheraw High School Health Occupations class, Cheraw High School faculty and staff, First Health EMS, the Cheraw Fire Department, Life Net, the Chesterfield County sheriff’s Dept., the S.C. Highway Patrol, Chesterfield General Hospital’s ENCARE, Leviner’s Towing, Deputy Coroner Craig Walker and the Cheraw Rescue Squad.
