McBEE --- According to Sheriff Sam Parker, with the assistance of the McBee Police Department, on June 2 deputies of the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) served a search warrant on the resident of Daniel and Melodie Gainey at 105 N. 5th St. in McBee.

Over the past several weeks, the CCSO received multiple complaints from parent of students at McBee High School about marijuana sold from this resident to school age children.

This came to a head after the CCSO received a specific and detailed complaint on June 2. Deputies confronted the Gaineys and obtained enough evidence to obtain a search warrant from this.

A quantity of prepackaged marijuana, a small amount of cash, drug paraphernalia and three firearms were seized during the search. Both Gaineys were charged with possession with intent to distributed marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
