In its fourth year now, On Stage Theatre Group in conjunction with the Cheraw Arts Commission, honored all veterans with a special tribute, which featured local performers and musicians. Director Pat Smith and Musical Director Anne Bryan created a program with inspirational dialogue in rememberence of the dedication of the thousands of veterans who have sacrificed their lives in service and combat. Community participants continue to share their talents for this performance. "At the door, a couple of the local veterans groups were also present," said Smith. She continued, "We feel that we had a good turnout at this year’s performance even though the location of this year's show was changed to the church. We are grateful to the church for participating with us. We can never do enough for all of the veterans who served our country."
Long Middle School Principal Dannie Blair will serve as this year's Mistress of Ceremonies. Men participants include Rev. Bill Oldland, First United Methodist Church Pastor Paul Wood, David Furman, Brian Brown, Ted Bradley, Richard Stafford and A.W. Moore.
