WALLACE – The Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office arrested three suspects in connection with a burglary that occurred on English Road in Wallace, S.C. on Sept. 28, 2009.

According to reports, Lance Litfe Coley, Jr., 19, of 140 Bugle Stump Road in Chesterfield and Roger Edgeston, 20, of Wadesboro, N.C., have both been allegedly charged with burglary and grand larceny. The report also stated that Tyron Smith, 20, of 3200 Hwy. 9 W. in Wallace was also arrested for possession of stolen goods.

“We developed enough information on the case and with the assistance of the Anson, N.C. Sheriff’s Office, were able to obtain a search warrant for a residence on Hwy. 145 in Morven, N.C. This is a current residence that Coley lived at. During the search, several of the items from the burglary were recovered and Anson County brought charges upon Coley at that time. Within the next couple of days, we were able to develop Smith and Edgeston as suspects. The investigation then developed rapidly with the accumulation of sufficient evidence to charge all three suspects with their roles in the crime,” said Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office, Lt. Jamie Seales.

“The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office also assisted us in this investigation,” said Seales.

Seales also added that all three suspects have prior criminal histories and Coley has a prior burglary conviction in Chesterfield County.
