The Town of Cheraw Recreation and Leisure Services, Cheraw Arts Commission and the Greater Cheraw Merchants Association presents its annual ‘Centennial Park Christmas Celebration’ on Thursday, Dec. 3 - beginning at 4 p.m. at Centennial Park. This is the Centennial Park-kick off for this holiday season, featuring holiday music, games for children
And family crafts, photos with Santa, carriage rides, Festival of the Trees- Cheraw Arts Commission, refreshments- enjoy hot cocoa - Greater Cheraw Merchants Association will be selling hot cocoa.
Cheraw will be celebrating the holidays with its annual “Centennial Park Christmas Celebration” Thursday, December 3 at Centennial Park on the corners of Market and Second Streets. The event begins at 4 p.m. and will feature holiday music, games and crafts for families, photos with Santa, carriage rides and the ‘Festival of Trees & Lights’.
Christmas carriage rides begin on Thursday, Dec. 3 at 5:30 and run until Dec. 19. For a small fee, participants can enjoy the carriage rides on Thursdays- Saturdays - 5:30-9 p.m. The Greater Cheraw Merchants Association will be selling hot cocoa in conjunction with the organization’s carriage rides.
Photos with Santa will also be featured during the Christmas season at Centennial Park. Santa will be available from Dec. 3 -19 on Thursdays through Saturdays – 5 – 8 p.m.
The Festival of Trees and Lights presented by the Cheraw Arts Commission will be displayed throughout downtown Cheraw from Dec. 3 – Jan. 1. A Tree Scavenger Hunt is planned in conjunction with the tree displays.
Participants will be applying finishing touches to the trees next Thursday afternoon during the celebration.
